Moonbat comic creators' reaction to Ferguson

It will come as no surprise, but the usual suspects, of course, feel the need to "chime in" because, y'know, they're so "smart" and "up on things."

It's been a while since we've checked in on Gail Simone; but she sure didn't let us down:

And then there was this lovely retweet from her:

The sad thing about all this is that "progressives" routinely claim to be those who believe in science -- y'know, deriding global warming climate change skeptics as lunatics, laughing at disbelievers of evolution (rightly, of course), and right-wing historians who only want to emphasize the good America has done and ignore its sordid side (also rightly).

Yet, people like Simone will ignore all the evidence that grand jury saw, re-saw, heard, re-heard, debated, and re-debated ... all the science. Like, if the person whose tweet Simone retweeted really is worried about her son's life, she shouldn't worry about folks like Darren Wilson, but about residing in a predominately black inner-city community. The chances of being a victim of violence with the latter are magnitudes greater.

Remember, too: this grand jury included three African-Americans. Will these three now be referred to as "Uncle Toms?"

Maybe Simone is doing all this so that she can maintain her "progressive" cred. Maybe she feels guilty because she lives in a state with a black population of around two percent.

Either way, it's ridiculous and irresponsible.

Here are a few examples of some of our other "pals":

A Mark Waid retweet:

A Dan Slott retweet:

Remember, these are the folks that believe in SCIENCE! Except when it conflicts with THEIR political dogma.

And hilariously, many of these folks are criticizing the prosecutor (who's a progressive Democrat, by the way) for lambasting social media's role in the whole Mike Brown saga ... all while posting frivolous social media commentary like "I worked in a prosecutor's office once and I can tell you this is a travesty!"

Meanwhile, here's a "surprise" locally.

What a nut

I think you hit a nerve with Dan Slott:

Poor loon.

Indeed. The short answer is yes -- he *is* stupid for believing as he does as he wasn't on the grand jury and didn't hear a lick of evidence and testimony.

A bit longer answer is: He misses the point, as usual, AGAIN. Since he either IS stupid or just a hyper-partisan hack, as I noted right-wingers/conservatives are derided as "anti-science" and "troglodytes" for espousing what I noted in the post. Yet, SOMEHOW, "progressives" like the gnomish Slott just KNOW -- despite not being privy to ANY evidence -- that Darren Wilson is guilty, and Michael Brown is innocent.

So, how is then mocking THEM any different from what they do to those aforementioned right-wingers? Answer: Not at all. THEY have to maintain their "progressive" creds. Rightists have to maintain theirs. Yet, the latter should be mocked while ... Slott wonders why HE is similarly mocked.

Yes, Dan Slott -- the Internet IS crazy. And you and your ilk are very big contributors to that.

Oh, and Dan? Once again, do not ever, ever believe that just because you write stories of a very popular cultural icon that you're actually intelligent. Just as a white cop shooting a black teenager doesn't automatically equal racism/white supremacy/hatred, wallowing in the halls of Marvel doesn't automatically grant you logic or smarts.

Well said sir!
Slott cannot see past what he wants things to be. He is blinded from the truth by his own bias. I love how these writers think that they should be able to spread their views but if someone opposes them they are "crazy". They want people like us to be silent yet they claim they want free speech. These nuts are hypocrites.

"Maybe Simone is doing all this so that she can maintain her "progressive" cred."

Wasn't that the point of her Occupy-inspired comic? I apologize for the following digression, but it really pisses me off that DC employees frequently mouth off about the evils of the 1% considering what happened to Siegel and Shuster. Seriously, I don't need a lecture about the perceived evils of the world from employees of a company that's notorious for screwing over the two people most responsible for its success.

"Once again, do not ever, ever believe that just because you write stories of a very popular cultural icon that you're actually intelligent."

When it comes to Spider-Man, Slott will never be anything more than a footnote in Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's biographies. Actually, Slott would be better off emulating either of them: either a friendly public persona or a recluse.

Well-stated all, tops!
