9/11 Truther Roberto Orci to direct Star Trek 3

Aren't we lucky? The dude who co-wrote the Trek sequel Into Darkness -- a not-so veiled analogy to the War on Terror/Iraq War -- is directing the Trek "threequel." As we noted back when, Roberto Orci is an outed 9/11 Truther.

So, what does this mean for the third installment?

  • The Federation pre-emptively invading the Klingon homeworld of Qo'noS based on intelligence of WMDs there? (Star Trek: Ersatz Pre-emptive War.)
  • The Federation suffering terrorist attacks against its many planets, but it's not permitted to call the conflict what it truly is? (Star Trek: Into Political Correctness.)
  • The Klingons responsible for most of the mayhem across the Federation, but the Federation elite is loath to so acknowledge? (Star Trek: Klingonophobia.)
  • A stellar phenomenon seemingly begins to affect the climates of various Federation planets, so the Federation Council and Star Fleet seek to push "planet-saving measures" upon the populace? (Star Trek: Climate Change.)

Or, if they want to continue the trend as they did with Into Darkness and be completely unoriginal, just have a bare bones Enterprise crew travel back in time to rescue -- this time -- a couple of killer whales ... from SeaWorld.
