The "God Help Us" Story of the Week

The University of the Connecticut unveiled a new school logo the other day -- a pic of a head of a Husky (dog) -- which then led to a "self-described feminist student" by the name of Carolyn Luby to protest. Why? ('Ya ready??) Because the image "will intimidate women and empower rape culture." She wrote,

“What terrifies me about the admiration of such traits is that I know what it feels like to have a real life Husky look straight through you and to feel powerless, and to wonder if even the administration cannot ‘mess with them.’ And I know I am not alone.”

Luby then went on to finish a paper for her class "Having No Life 101."

If my university gave a degree to someone who produced "logic" like this, I'd ask for a refund since obviously it's worthless.

LOL. "Having No Life 101" could describe a LOT of liberal college students. And knowing how liberal the college towns in my state are, I wonder if some feminist will try to get Saint Cloud State's mascot changed (they're also the Huskies) because it's a "rape symbol."

If you're wondering why college costs north of $40K a year here is exhibit A. There are professors teaching her this drivel and quite literally harming her by creating (or re-enforcing) delusions. When the higher ed bubble finally bursts, look to all these absurd departments to disappear. No more "____ Studies" programs or blah blah blah. Rather than having everything it makes more sense to specialize in STEM or art or music or business or whatever.
