The best thing about the Ravens winning the Super Bowl ...

... is that their quarterback -- Joe Flacco -- is a graduate of my alma mater, the University of Delaware!

Congrats, Joe!

Bonus points: Who can name the other U of D quarterback who made it to the Big Game, but lost?

Rich Gamnon. Now consider in all the Super Bowls there are 2 starting quarterbacks and in the history 2 have come from little Delaware. That's pretty impressive.

Is UD football Division I or Division II?

And Rich Gannon started his career with the Vikings, only to be traded by Denny Green in 1993 and replaced with Sean Salisbury... of course, Gannon would up being MVP and lead Oakland to the Super Bowl and the Vikings kept having a QB musical chairs that continues to this day, although hopefully ponder will continue to be the long-term QB.

Carl: UD is 1-AA.

Thanks for that info; I wasn't sure. When Flacco and the Ravens won, I remembered that he went to your alma mater and thought, "I bet Hube is gonna have a post about it." And I was right.
