Civilization continues to crumble

Definitely a sign that the liberal left (media) has seriously gone off the deep end, Time magazine notes that "Give Me Free Birth Control" Sandra Fluke has been nominated as a possible Person of the Year.

Let me repeat that:

Ugh, no ... I can't. I think I'm going to spew.

It shows you how irrelevant Time Magazine has become. Someone who would be more deserving of the award would be Malala Yousufzai, the Pakistani girl who was shot by the Taliban because she believed that women there should be able to get an education.

Carl, Malala Yousufzai is on the list of nominees and was the leading vote-getter when I looked at Time's web poll yesterday.

It pains me to do so, but I have to defend Time on this one. Fluke personifies and exemplifies a certain part of the ongoing debate about health care and the role of the federal government in our lives. Yes, we disagree vehemently with that point of view, but you must agree it's common and controversial.

No way, art. There are better folks to choose than this dope. It's like when Time chose "The Protester" but then concentrated on only the Occupiers and ignored Tea Partiers.

My choice is Obama. He defied the odds and won re-election which also personifies the political and cultural changes going on in the country.
