Do they ever stop and think what they're suggesting?

A couple weeks ago we saw Democrtic North Carolina Gov. Beverly Perdue "joke" about suspending next year's congressional elections so we all could "focus on repairing the economy instead of [the] next campaign." Perdue and her idiot handlers tried to say she was being facetious after -- rightly -- people reacted with horrific surprise at her comments.

Now enter Jesse Jackson Jr. He's as big an idiot as Perdue, apparently:

Illinois Democratic Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. told The Daily Caller on Wednesday that congressional opposition to the American Jobs Act is akin to the Confederate “states in rebellion.”

Jackson called for full government employment of the 15 million unemployed and said that Obama should “declare a national emergency” and take “extra-constitutional” action “administratively” — without the approval of Congress — to tackle unemployment.

Aside from the fact that these are beyond stupid legally, why do these nimrods want to hand Republicans a vengeful switch when they eventually come back into power (which, as is likely, will be next year)? One can already hear the screaming and hollering from liberals and their MSM cohorts when/if the GOP seriously proposes something similar.
