Today in "Imagine if a Republican said it"

Recently defeated Democrat PA Congressman Paul Kanjorski on newly elected Florida Governor Rick Scott:

"That Scott down there that's running for governor of Florida," Mr. Kanjorski said. "Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him [sic] and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. He stole billions of dollars from the United States government and he's running for governor of Florida. He's a millionaire and a billionaire. He's no hero. He's a damn crook. It's just we don't prosecute big crooks."

It goes without saying that if Kanjorski had an "R" after his name, the MSNBC, CNN and other MS< talking heads would be apoplectic over his "hate rhetoric." And why is it that liberals/Democrats are SO insistent on granting murderous terrorists habeas corpus rights, the right to a civilian jury trial, and other legal safeguards enjoyed by your average American citizen (who don't wantonly kill people), yet Republican politicians aren't permitted to utilize same?
