Why do we subsidize NPR again?

Let it stand on its own, especially after today's ridiculous events.

UPDATE: Be sure to check out Rhymes With Right's take on the Juan Williams firing from NPR. Key passage:

“There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see someone white and feel relieved.”

Who said that? Jesse Jackson. The backlash? Non-existent.

UPDATE 2: Maybe we ought to call NPR "racist."

UPDATE 3: Why does NPR keep Nina Totenberg employed? Brian Bolduc notes:

Unlike Totenberg, Juan Williams was a news analyst; his job specifically gave him leeway to voice his opinion. NewsBusters has documented some of Totenberg’s greatest hits throughout the years. Note that she made these comments as a panelist on “Inside Washington,” a syndicated television show. Apparently, they all hew to NPR’s principles and ethics.

Be sure to click the link above to see some of those "greatest hits."

We fund NPR for the same reason we funded ACORN and any number of "advocacy groups." Liberals have an absolute right (I almost said God-given, but that would violate liberal sensibilities) to take money from others and spend it as they see fit.

That is correct. It is the simple definition between the two parties...Dem's believe in higher taxes because gov't knows how to spend the money and the people don't (elitists) and Republicans want lower taxes because the people know best how to spend their money. It looks like the tea partiers have brought the Repub's back to their fiscal conservative roots and it is the basic reason why delawareans should vote for O'Donnell whether you like her as a candidate or not....vote with your pocketbooks!!!!!!!!!
Anyone read Glen Beck's book the Overton Window...I am 3/4 the way done.....timely and wonderful read...can't put it down!
