Thank goodness for our First Amendment

Sure, it annoys us sometimes, but thank your luck stars our Founders had the wisdom they did. Y'see, those "enlightened" Euros have no such thing in their law books, and as such it leads to illiberal results like these.

Insty's Glenn Reynolds notes that Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights ought to be sufficient for our "transnational elites." It reads:

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.
