Imagine Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, et. al.

... having a field day if George W. Bush's spokesmouth said this:

A White House spokesman says the whole country benefits when President Barack Obama takes time to go golfing and "clear his mind."

Obama spokesman Bill Burton on Monday defended Obama's leisure activities amid some Republican criticism that Obama should not be scheduling fun time during the Gulf oil spill crisis.

Burton said the people of the country stand by the notion that "their president ought to have a little time to clear his mind."

Burton said that having time to himself "probably does us all good."

Hopefully, he'll have a LOT of time to himself come 2012 ...

Hube, you're being unfair: Any time Obama spends not making decisions or trying to run things is far better for the country than when he is trying to be President.

LOL ... point well taken!

I agree with Paul's point- but the staff at the center for american progress isn't taking any breaks. I guess golfing's better than freebasing cocaine, his old way of clearing his mind...
