"Control the People"

Uh huh. And some call the Tea Partiers nuts?

Check out Michigan Rep. John Dingell talking about how ObamaCare will eventually "control the people":

Y'see? And there's audio evidence of Dingell saying this ... unlike what still is being repeated as gospel in the MSM about epithets being hurled at some members of Congress. (Going on four days now, by the way ...)

"Some call the Tea Partiers nuts?"

Howa bout most of mainstream America? Sarah "I can see Russia from my house!" Palin has set up bullseyes on the districts she has instructed her followers to "target". I guess when they cut the gas line on the brother of Tom Perriello, they were just hoping to have thoughtful discussion? I would love to see as many Tea Party candidates on the ballot as possible in 2010. As far as I'm concerned the Tea Partiers are no better than a cult. Dingell is a dope, much agreed, but you have to call it both ways Hube!

Give me a f***ing break. You really think Palin meant "target" as in "do violence to?" If so, you're as nutty as Dingell. These "threats of violence" are NO different than those suffered by GOPers and conservatives ... the only difference is that the MSM actually CARES when it's the former only.

And another big difference between the TPers and those like Dingell: The latter want power over you; the former want YOU to have your own power.

I'll take the latter any day, thank you very much.

Did that idiot in the first comment REALLY try to argue that the use of the word "target" is an incitement to violence? Sweet Jesus, what a mental midget he is!

Rhymes With Right: Thanks for keeping the discussion based solely on my argument and keeping personal insults out of it. You've invalided yourself from any more comments from me because I can't take anything you say as credible or applicable. More like "Rhymes with Tassmole".

Hube: No, actually I won't give you a F*cking break. Sarah Palin knows the type of people who follow her and the maverick streak that most of them have. She could have easily posted a list of congressman she wanted defeated.

She could of had a page with a list of all their faces and thrown big banners all around them with "liberal" and "socialist"...oh wait most of the conservies are doing that already...back to the main point, once you introduce the word "target" and "bullseyes" you sink a little further. When "having my own power" means being able to cut someone's propane tank and justify it in political context, I'll take the latter.

Ryan: If you won't give me a f***ing break, perhaps you could get a f***ing clue, then. The term/phrase "targeting" vulnerable congresspeople has been around for AGES -- as John McCain explained yesterday to a clueless (like you) reporter.

I said it before and I'll say it again: These "threats of violence" are NO different than those suffered by GOPers and conservatives ... the only difference is that the MSM actually CARES when it's the former only. (And add your name after "MSM," Ryan.)

Hey Ryan -- I'm sure you've e-mailed ABC News to inform them how they "endangered" pro-life Democrats, right?

Posted by: Hube at March 26, 2010 05:03 PM

Ryan, you douchebag -- where was your oh-so-intellectual response to me? Oh, that's right -- you didn't have one. And I think that your resort to implied profanity disqualifies you from participation in any discussion much more seriously than my noting your intellectual infirmity did.

But let's talk about this -- "target" does not have to mean "shoot to kill". I've used the word to talk about "targets" for the performance of my students on tests, "targets" for my blood sugar regarding my diabetes" and "targets" for a whole host of other things. That you would even attempt to make the argument to the contrary is frightfully absurd! And that does not even get into Hube's point.

So you can "rhymes with Hiss By Glass.

geography lesson of the day.

at it's closest, Russia is 1.5 miles from Alaska.

Alaska is closer to Russia than to the Lower 48

maps are our friends.

ps Palin never said "I can see Russia from my house!"
