Imagine if a Republican said this

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan: Hurricane Katrina was "the best thing that happened to the education system in New Orleans."

Despite Duncan's point actually making sense, 'ya think a member of the GOP would get away with it -- especially in the MSM?

Cheeyeah, right.

Setting aside the objective fact that Duncan is right in what he said, any Republican who had said that then (or at any point since then) would have been called a RAAAAACIST.

Hecl, I was called a RAAAAACIST for suggesting that the authorities shoot the looters on sight so that they could rescue those who were in danger from the storm and the flooding. You know, putting the lives of the innocent above the lives of the guilty.

When I posted about this topic this morning, I made exactly the same points. Brilliant minds must think alike :-)
