What, they needed the money to build a 60-foot gold statue of Saul Alinsky?

From Rules for Radicals:

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

I heard that the DLers posted that I "fell" for a bad story. Perhaps I should have written "groups *like* ACORN." Gee.

But their "defense" just shows what a f***in' laugh they are: "b-b-b-b-but it only says 'neighborhood stabilization activities'!!!!"

1. some "stimulus"
2. what's that MEAN??
3. and they actually call ME stupid??
4. look who posted it -- Mr. "Progressive" Trust Fund, aka Jason Snott.

And if the money ends up going to Habitat for Humanity to rehab blighted properties or to pay for supplementary police in areas with increased gang violence then what? What about the money that we dumped into faith-based initiatives for the past 8 years?

You DID fall for it. Yes ACORN may qualify for some of the funds, but so would a hundred other organizations. So yes, you headline could have said groups like ACORN (you know, non-profits that try to help people) instead of banks to buy planes or insurance companies to fund junkets or the Chamber of Commerce to fund lobbyists.

Face it, your hate clouded your judgment.

Face it: You and your crew are moronic a**holes. You deserve each other -- and deserve your elitist hatred for everything and everyone who doesn't agree with you.

One wonders how you cretins actually manage to function. Does Snott keep you guys propped up with his trust fund monies?

LiberalGeek: I work for one of those "non-profits that try to help people". In fact, for an organization that is an umbrella for all of those "helpers".

There is so much waste it is nauseating. Yes, there are good things being done but they are few and far between and there are alot of cherrywood desks along the way.

I think 80 percent of it is a racket for the politicos, and they are knee deep in it.

Believe it.

Hube, you have nothing but ad hominems, eh? Fine, if you can't beat 'em, prove 'em right.

Shirley - there is certainly waste, but there will be waste all along, business, government, churches and non-profits. There are whole "cherry desk industries" that come from that waste. Does that mean that the causes shouldn't get money? Certainly every penny gets used and a $2000 desk certainly doesn't get very close to a corporate jet or $2000 lobbyist dinners.

There are also plenty of non-profits out there with 3rd and 4th hand desks with drawers that don't open. Guess what, ACORN in Delaware is much more of the desk-falling-apart kind of non-profit than even an "IKEA-put-it-together-yourself" operation.

Hube, get a new schtick, the bitter angry conservative persona is losing its luster.

Hey Geek. Honestly -- for you to complain about ad hominems considering who you hang/blog with is like Stalin complaining about Mao being too authoritarian. IOW, you're are so full of shit it's coming out every orifice in your body.

Spare me, spare me, spare me. Maybe you and DelDunce can go round up some Republicans and have 'em shot. After all, they're "evil."

So, if I'm "angry," it's one HELL of a lot better than the shit you spew and associate with. What's the 'ol saying -- you can tell a lot about a person by the people he/she associates with?

"Prove 'em right?" Are you REALLY that f***ing stupid?? Has Obama/Democrat worship REALLY made you that blind and thick?? Because I didn't mention faith-based initiatives this somehow makes granting groups like ACORN -- which has been absolutely RIFE with fraud -- OK?? You honestly believe this isn't blatant political payback?? And how does it freakin' stimulate the economy???

Posted by: Hube at January 28, 2009 07:52 PM

Hmmm. I see your point. I am a shmuck for expecting a real, honest response out of you, but you are the enlightened, fact-based opposition that resorts to Stalin, ad hominems and perceived associative guilt.

Oh yes, I'm the blind one.

Posted by: LiberalGeek at January 28, 2009 08:09 PM

WTF do you want from me, Geek? I already ceded it probably would have been better to write "groups *like* ACORN," but the gist of the post is hardly significantly altered. If you don't realize that, yes, you ARE blind. And f***ing stupid, too.

Did the Stalin thing go over your head? You DO realize I didn't compare YOU to him, but only the analogy part? See last sentence above.

"Perceived associative guilt?" PERCEIVED?? You're neck deep in the DL shit, pal. You know damn well that if I or another writer at CoR had written the shit you numbskulls write, you and your crew would never, ever let me forget it. You'd bring it up at every opportunity. As it is, I get called a racist merely because I have questions about hate crimes laws and their ever-growing definitions. But DelDumb wants all GOPers rounded up and shot. At this point, all I can do is just shake my head at your sheer, utter inanity.

And that's the thing: I don't write such hateful tripe, nor does anyone else here. Nor would I freely associate w/someone who does.

Posted by: Hube at January 28, 2009 08:21 PM

Hube, you write a lot of hateful tripe! Your problem, you don't even realize it!!

Posted by: Perry at January 29, 2009 09:37 AM

Speak for your yourself, Perry. What I write doesn't hold a candle to what the DLers write. But you wouldn't know that b/c you're a hypocrite.

From the linked article:

"(Boehner) said the money was previously limited to state and local governments, but that Democrats now want part of it to be available to non-profit entities. That means groups like ACORN would be eligible for a portion of the funds."

The point is that language should be inserted that prevents the Dems from doling out "stimulus" money to partisan activist groups like ACORN, just as the bank bailout should have expressly prevented recipients from using the funds to pay executive bonuses and buy out competitors. Hats of to the House GOP for standing up against this monstosity like that kid standing in front of the tank in Tienanmen Square.
