It's bad enough that Chief Moonbat Keith Olbermann never -- and I mean never -- has on guests that disagree with him (he just has a cast of "regulars" who serve as his "yes men"); now, it's revealed that one of those "yes men" strayed from the "script," and this guy realized "WHOA":
Yesterday, I wrote on Dana Milbank’s abrupt departure from “Countdown With Keith Olbermann,” which at first seemed to directly follow a disagreement over the Washington Post columnist’s July 30 column calling Obama “presumptuous.”However, Milbank’s dissatisfaction with the show started before any controversy over the Obama piece or questions from Olbermann about misquoting the Democratic candidate, according to sources.
A source familiar with the situation told Politico that Milbank had been unhappy on the show for a couple of months and expressed this sentiment to friends. But it wasn't until directly after an incident last month that Milbank made a move.
During the first week of July, Milbank spoke to producer Katy Karp about why he had not been on the show for a couple of weeks. At that point, Milbank was told that there was an issue among staff with something positive he said the previous month about Charlie Black, a McCain senior adviser.
Gee, what a surprise. Imagine -- one of Keithy's fave "yes men" strays just a tad off course and he's persona non grata for a few weeks. Then, when the "yes man" gets a better offer from CNN, Olbermann feels the need to concoct a story about Milbank's journalistic integrity.
I've become less and less a fan of "pundit" shows over the years, but say what you want about Olbermann's competition at Fox -- Bill O'Reilly. At least O'Reilly clamors for people to come on who disagree with him, and the only regulars he has on are those with established weekly segments (like Dennis Miller, Bernie Goldberg & Jane Hall). No wonder he routinely slams Olbermann in the ratings.
Hube,
If McCain wins, can you imagine how much fun it will be to watch the collective meltdown of the MSM? I predict they will lose it when they see their last chance to elect a DEM prez go down the drain. Heck Olbermann is showing them the way already.
Yesterday the Inquirer wrote a 400-500 word idiotorial about the Reps doing their protest in Congress (called it Grand Old Pandering). I am amused when the Inquirer writes an idiotorial against a news story on which they have ignored or barely reported (it was buried in Saturday's edition in an AP wire story).
There will be mass retirements if McCain wins.
