I gave up several episodes ago, after I realized I was letting the recorded episodes sit on my HTPC for days and then only watching them with the sense of doing a chore.
It's a shame. It's a bigger shame that my favorite episode was '33', the first one aired. It's all been downhill from there.
I'm not sure what is supposed to be ripped from the headlines, at least post season 3, but I agree that it feels like it's lost direction (and Moore's statement that the final five are different, and therefore not subject to the constraints of other cylons is cheating). Anyone could have seen the end of this week's episode coming a mile away. Still, it's light years better than anything Roddenberry ever came up with, though that's saying very little.
