OK, I'm totally flummoxed

I have "Hardball" on the tube now and there's FL Representative Bob Wexler actually -- in a hemming and hawing way -- attempting to justify "following the DNC's rules" regarding the disputed votes in Florida's primary.

The same Bob Wexler was the first to find a network camera and scream about the infamous "butterfly ballot" in the 2000 election, and how there should be "something done" about this "disenfranchisement" ... and thus began the debacle of recounts and hanging chads that personified that election??

Yet ANOTHER reason to laugh at Democrats when they state "count every vote."

Were you ever a Democrat or did you ever tend to vote Dem?

I was a solid Dem voter all my life until I voted for Clinton in 1992. Have not voted for a Dem prez since though I did not vote at all after 1992 until the 2000 election.

AJ: Never voted for a Dem for national office since my first vote in 1984. Quite a few for local offices, though.

I also first voted in 1984. I have never voted for a Dem. I used to just vote for all Republicans on the ballot. The last few elections, I have voted for all Republicans, except the US Congress office in DE. I left that blank because I can't vote for the stinking Lib, Mike Castle, anymore! This November I'm really going to have to pay attention. I will be voting all Republican EXCEPT both US Congress & President! Can't vote to support all the socialism that McCain plans to dump on us. I just couldn't live with myself if I did. I know several Democrats that plan to vote for McCain. If McCain wins, it will have to be with Democrat votes, not mine!

I would have guessed you to be an Independent.
Here is my prez vote record to the best of my recollection:
1972 Humphrey
1976 Carter
1980 Carter
1984 Mondale
1988 Dukakis
1992 Clinton
1996 did not vote
2000 & 2004 Bush

So I guess I spent first 20 years as a DEM then became a REP. That means I am open-minded right?
