Hube's Spanish Music Video of the Week

Because nobody demanded it: Chile's La Ley and their hit "Fuera de Mi."

I once attended a poetry reading where all the poems were delivered in Hindi. I told myself I was lucky not to understand the language because the meanings would distract me from enjoying the voice acting as a musical instrument.

But as I was walking away from the reading, I realized that was all rationalizing bullshit. If I had understood the language, I could have enjoyed the musicality of the voice and words as well as understood their meanings.

One of the biggest regrets of my life is that I never learned Spanish. It's a language many people who live in my country speak (it would be friendly of me to try to understand them), I love many Spanish poets, the women singers on the Spanish channel are hot and I wish I understood them so I could hide the fact I am watching them out of pure lust, and I'd love to go to a Mexican restaurant and converse w/ the waitperson in Spanish like I saw you do, Hube. I thought that was cool.
