The possible First Lady: "Really proud of her country" for the first time

Michelle Obama:

What we have learned over this year is that hope is making a comeback. It is making a comeback. And let me tell you something -- for the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I've seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues, and it's made me proud.

Do I even have to say it? First time in her adult life??

That's just sad.

This is all over the blogosphere Hube and I can't believe she can believe her own crap. She and her husband were smart and this country was great enough to provide them with the opportunity to go to Ivy League schools! Was she NOT proud of that?

I am sorry to say I have to view her as just another "progressive" who has great disdain for America. I can't believe Mrs. Obama can't recognize all the many, many great things about this country. Am I wrong?

In fact, she sounds a lot like Suburban Guerilla- wonder if Michele Obama reads that loser's blog?

'First time in life' comment plays very well to a certain segment of the populace..I'm w/AJ on this.

I became somewhat suspicious of Mrs. Obama early on when I heard her prayin' and blessing' crowds from the podium.....I, for one, have had enough mixing of religion w/politics. In our present world wearing your badge of religion does little to unite people.
