4 for 4 on 1st week playoff picks

UPDATE: Moving this post up to today!

My score predictions weren't all that accurate, but I got the teams right. Now for the tougher part -- divisional playoff picks!

Saturday:

  • Seahawks at Packers. The weather's gonna be tough on the 'Hawks and so will Brett Favre, the NFL inspiration story of the season. Packers win 24-13.
  • Jaguars at Patriots. Obviously, the Pats are the team to beat in the entire league, but in my opinion only one team has the capability to end their dream of a perfect season -- and the Jags are it. Jags pull the upset of the decade and win 28-25.

Sunday:

  • Chargers at Colts. The Chargers looked pretty unimpressive most of the game at home in their win against Tennessee this afternoon/evening. They'll look even less impressive against Peyton Manning and co. Colts win 31-17.
  • Giants at Cowboys. The Giants were the most impressive team in the first playoff week, even better than the Jags in my opinion. They'll be impressive again against Dallas. Giants win 24-20.

Now, enjoy a trip in Super Bowl history.

Pats lose?? Damn thatis a gutsy prediction. I disgagree - Pats will win easy.

I agree with you Colts and Packers pick but am still not convinced the Giants are for real so I am picking the Cowboys. But if there is an upset, the Giants are the most likely underdog to win.

So you're predicting both #1 seeds, including the undefeated Patriots, will go down in the conference semifinals?

At least no one will accuse you of only making safe picks. You're ballsier than I am.

(And for some reason, my Firefox spell-checker is okay with the word "ballsier" but not the word "okay.")
