"Moore" award winner

Via the Media Blog: Andrew Sullivan's "Moore" Award -- "named after film-maker, Michael Moore - is for divisive, bitter and intemperate left-wing rhetoric" -- for the year goes to Keith Olbermann for the following comment:

"Al Qaeda really hurt us, but not as much as Rupert Murdoch has hurt us, particularly in the case of Fox News. Fox News is worse than Al Qaeda — worse for our society. It's as dangerous as the Ku Klux Klan ever was."

Now, where but in the right-wing blogosphere did you hear complaints about this utterly insane and asinine comment? That's right, nowhere. Yet, Olbermann's biggest competitor, Bill O'Reilly, got drawn and quartered by the MSM for totally out-of-context remarks about race in America, among many other comments that were nowhere near as nutty.

Just remember though, the MSM is not left-leaning. And a chicken has lips.

Translation: Damn Fox News for breaking our monopoly! It's like listening to GM, Ford and Chrysler making excuses for Toyota's eating their lunches.

Actually, Olbermann is quite correct. Not in the sense that FNN is a violent organization, but they have enabled violence, on a massive scale. The war mongering that got us into Iraq has killed hundreds of thousands yet they continue to bleat on.

Ron: You sure you have the correct dosage on that lithium, dude?

And it's "FNC," not "FNN."

Ron:

Do you have a source for your claim that "hundreds of thousands of deaths" were caused by warmongering? I doubt it.

I flew back from vacation yesterday and sat next to a West Point grad (class of 1989 or 88 I forget which) and he said it was a tough tough call for Bush. He meant how could a president allow a nut like Saddam stay in power when Saddam might have WMD and could give to Al Quaeda.

No matter what war protesters and those with BDS claim today, that was the dillemma that Bush faced.
