What to do when you lose the debate?

Blame it all on their religion:

Gotta say Brian Tierney is improving the Inquirer. But pukes like Auth still work there. If you want, go to the Free Library tomorrow and watch me spit on him (he will be there hawking his crappy books).

Just kidding about me going there - who the heck needs libraries anymore now that we have the internets.

And Hube is Auth accurately pointing out the number of catholics on the Court? I don't know how many are Catholic though I am certain four are Catholics (Thomas, Alito, Roberts & whatsisname the character who speaks his mind and hunted with Cheney).

Imagine the outcry if Auth did similar tabulation of other ethnic groups/ religions for other professions or industries.

Absolutely correct, AJ. It'd be another Imus-like scandal.

I'm not sure of the exact # of Catholics on the court.

He is correct -- and the five members of the majority are all Catholic.

But the opinion is based upon sound Constitutional reasoning, not theology. This cartoon is therefore no more appropriate than pointing out the gender of the author of the dissent in this case to disqualify her.
