You know it'll happen

Brownie points to the first person who can document an instance of this (probably at the DU or Huffington Post):

Tony Snow "timed" the announcement of the reappearance of his cancer to take the spotlight -- and sympathy -- off of Elizabeth Edwards (and her husband).

The clock is ticking, and you just know some moonbat will see a conspiracy in this.

Oh, too late. Charles Karel Bouley of Huffington Post wrote a most obnoxious section of a post that was subsequently removed late yesterday.

See blockquote here on HotAir where the compassionate caring of the rabid anti-Bush left is recorded for posterity.

I admit my bias shows with these stories. I hear about Tony Snow and say to myself, well, stand up every day, lie to the American people at the behest of your dictator-esque boss and well, how could a cancer NOT grow in you. Work for Fox News, spinning the truth in to a billion knots and how can your gut not rot? I know, it’s terrible. I admit it. I don’t wish anyone harm, even Tony Snow. And I do hope he recovers or at least does what he feels is best and surrounds himself with friends and family for his journey. But in the back of my head there’s Justin Timberlake’s “What goes around, goes around, comes around, comes all the way back around, ya..”…

At least one of his commenters called him on it.

"I hear about Tony Snow and say to myself, well, stand up every day, lie to the American people at the behest of your dictator-esque boss and well, how could a cancer NOT grow in you."
Mr. Bouley,
As a progressive thinker and voter I can not stand by your statements and applaud. I do understand the metaphorical value you have assigned to your post but this is gutter territory. And yes, I read your following disclaimers which do nothing but inform your readers that you are fully aware of how distasteful these comments are. Yet instead of rewording you chose to include for effect and then distance yourself from the predictable disgust by repudiation. There is room here for everyone's opinion sir, but lets keep the blows above the belt.

Hey Felix, I found this example while surfing earlier today.

not quite the same as Ann Coulter but both sides pull this same kind of shit. Make sure you document when the right does it next please.

I strongly urge C.O.R. to do an analysis of the comments at FreeRepublic following Elizabeth Edwards' announcement, vs. the comments at Daily Kos following Snow's.

L-O friggin'-L, dimwitty! A statement like that -- from the paragon of divisive partisan blogging.

I strongly urge dan to do his OWN blog analysis of the two -- keeping in mind the fairly recent (but admittedly not 100% scientific) studies of how much more vulgar not only blog posts from the Left are, but comments as well.
