What Accent Do You Have?

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: Philadelphia

Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard.

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri)

Raised in New Jersey but my mom is fro Ohio and the NJ accent drove her nuts so she drove it out of us kids.

Midland also, likely a result of growing up in the south, then living in the Philly region for the past ten years (with a brief stopover in the Midwest).

Boy! Born raised & lived in CA most of my life (til about 2 years ago)-- test results-- wait for it-- Northeast!

Damn my speech impediment anyway!

It pegged me as a Philadelphian! Ugh!!! I moved to DE from the Pocono region of Pa in the early 70's. I never thought I had an accent but I recall at least two people who knew I wasn't native to DE. One didn't know where I was from but the other thought I was from Scranton, Pa. Not a bad guess since I was born and raised 40 mi. south of there. When I return to Pa I can hear the difference in speech patterns now although I was unable to following my move to DE.
