... if a noted media person did this over 35 years ago ...

... just like the Washington Post's Dana Milbank did a few days ago.

Oh come on now. Whittington isn't dead...yet! Jokes and media buffoonery are still acceptable.
Posted by: Mike M. at February 16, 2006 08:50 PMMike: I agree -- I think the gaggle of jokes about Cheney are indeed funny. But admit it -- you'd NEVER see a big-time media person do what Milbank did if it was a prominent emocrat/liberal.
Posted by: Hube at February 16, 2006 09:21 PMI do agree, Hube. What Milbank did, as a journalist, was inexcusable. If he was an opinion columnist I'd have much less of a problem. This sets a nasty precedent.
I must say I would have enjoyed some reporters all decked out in blue dresses and sporting cigars during the Clinton impeachment, though.
I'm just here for the jokes, folks!
Posted by: Mike M. at February 16, 2006 09:23 PMThanks for sharing. I cracked up when I saw this. Do you think that auto picture in background is really from Chappaquiddick? BTW, anyone know if any surveys have been done to see which blogs are funnier (you know conservative blogs vs. lib blogs)?
