I'm no great fan of Cindy Sheehan. But as I just posted at my place, I'm a bit confused about the arrest. It's more than a little disturbing that wearing an "opposition" t-shirt to a SOTU address is "unlawful conduct" punishable by a year in jail. I'm hoping I'm missing something here, and that she resisted arrest or otherwise caused a disturbance...but I'm a little confused by the initial story.

update on that one: truly shocking news---the capitol police "screwed up" and sheehan wasn't breaking any rules or laws.

ah, but now i also see that the cap. police removed the wife of a GOP congressman for wearing a pro-war shirt, and apologized to her as well. so maybe the officers were just stupid after all.

i have now responded twice to myself. that has to be a record.
