It had to happen, part 2

Eleanor Clift:

" ... frankly, if the country, according to the polls, believes by a margin of 55 percent that President Bush misled us into war, the next logical step is impeachment and I think you're going to hear that word come up and if the Democrats ever capture either house of Congress there are going to be serious proceedings against this administration."

"Believes." Belief = reality in the ever-increasingly nutty world of the moonbat Left.

That moonbat, lefty Eleanor Clift and her crazy islamofacist BELIEFS. We need to get back to our faith based war on terror. All of this talk about lies and impeachment just emboldens our enemy, Senator Clinton.

What the hell are you smoking, Jason?

In what reality is Eleanor Clift an Islamofascist???

I believe that was Jason's attempt at cutting wit. However, he has mixed his rhetoric and just sounds ignorant.

Wow, Rhodey et al., you've got your very own Troll now! You've arrived!

Are you saying you don't trust polls? She was simply citing what several of them have shown as of late.

Or are you saying that when a poll shows the American people "believe" something liberal, they're simply buying into lies -- while when they "believe" something conservative, that's reflective of their *actual* beliefs?

Come on, dan. It isn't just the polls. It's Clift's leap to impeachment. And the polls can certainly be attributed to the WH's lame weak-kneed responses to the Dems constant harping about "lying" yada yada yada.

Although I kinda agree somewhat w/Clift -- impeachment could seem logical in that it doesn't mean Bush'd be convicted. It would just be a "trial." But the "grand jury" has to get enough decent evidence for the "trial." And I just don't believe it's there.

I wasn't responding to the leap to impeachment, because it didn't seem that's what Rhodey was getting at. The only editorial comment was about the word "believes." He seemed to take issue, therefore, with the polls. Maybe it was just an unclear post, but I was just responding to what he clearly wrote.

But it was clear about the impeachment part, as well. Impeachment based on just "beliefs" is a dangerous precedent, don'tcha think?

Yes.
